This woman is Tamamo No Mae.
It's Fox monster which has 9 tails ( 'Kyubi No Kitsune/Yoko' ) and turns into a beautiful woman. The name Kyubi No Kitsune might be well known because of NARUTO. This monster came from India, by way of China, to Japan. Tamamo was called 'So Dakki (Su Da Ji)' in China. Dakki is a famous character in 'Houshin Engi ( Feng Shen Yan Yi or Feng Shen Bang)' ,which is an old chinese story. |
