This monster came from India, by way of China, to Japan. Tamamo was called 'So Dakki (Su Da Ji)' in China. Dakki is a famous character in 'Houshin Engi ( Feng Shen Yan Yi or Feng Shen Bang)' ,which is an old chinese story.
